What does it mean to be state licensed?

State-licensed means that our agency must follow specific state and federal regulations monitored by the Department of Health and Human Services. Our agency undergoes regular inspections to ensure that we follow all rules and regulations to protect our clients and staff from harm or exploitation. If we fail to meet these regulations, we get deficiencies (reprimanded) and could be closed or even prosecuted.
