Heather is a native of Center Tuftonboro NH and a graduate from Kingswood Regional High school (89) and has been in the health care field since 1994. Starting as a family caregiver for Ill parents and siblings she found she enjoyed and had an aptitude for the home healthcare aspect of care. With the desire to assist other families in coping with the psychological, emotional, and physical difficulties of the aging process and the difficulty in managing long term care and end of life needs for loved ones. She became a licensed nursing assistant at a local nursing home. Then advanced to becoming Director of client services for The Stevens Center Adult Day Care 1999-2006. Heather Graduated from Granite State College in 2005 with an Assoc. Degree in Behavioral Science specializing in Geriatric Care Management. Curtis Quality Care LLC Became a state Licensed agency in November 2009 and was begun in loving memory of her Parents Capt. K.G Curtis, Janice. M Curtis and sister Kathryn A. Curtis. Heather is a certified Alzheimer’s and Dementia Related Disorders trainer and support group leader, Certified End of Life Doula, 2016 Women Owned Small Business of the Year.
Her team of Home Health Aides make every effort to provide pleasant, comfortable, and Professional care to all their clients. All staff participate in ongoing by-monthly training and direct supervision throughout their employment. All staff hired have an extensive background check, drug and alcohol testing upon hire and randomly throughout employment, DMV Background Check and a check with the bureau of adult and elderly services.

EssentiALZ Certification through the Alzheimer's Association The essentiALZ program provides core dementia care training—focusing on person-centered care, the changes that happen to thinking skills as dementia progresses, how those changes impact behavior, and how to understand behavior as communication. It also covers specific care topics like making a connection, eating solutions, pain, and discomfort indicators, wandering, falls, and redirection and distraction behavior therapies.
Through completing the program, our staff learn techniques for caring for people with dementia, become recognized as someone who has a basic understanding of symptoms of Alzheimer’s and other dementias and demonstrate knowledge of evidence-based dementia care practices, which are promoted in the nationally recognized Alzheimer’s Association Dementia Care Practice Recommendations.

Sara grew up in the idyllic small town of Stark, NH. This helped to shape Sara’s view on homecare and way of life. In Stark, everyone knew everyone and the door was always open. One always helped their neighbor and shared with one another what was needed from clothes to food. Sara moved to the Wolfeboro area with her family in 1989. She attended Kingswood Regional High School where she graduated in 1994.
Sara has been working since she was 14 in various industries and areas, but never found anything that quite fit until going to work in a local facility in 1996, where she became a caregiver and supervisor. Sara has been a supervisor for the past 18 years; she has been trained in crisis management and has vast experience with many different disorders, from Brain Injury, Autism, Parkinson’s, and Alzheimer’s/Dementia. She joined our family at Curtis Quality Care in 2010. She has a wide variety of skills that make her especially suited for assisting our clients in their homes.
When Sara joined us in 2010, it was as a personal care attendant; it became clear quickly that Sara was a rare find. Sara became the Director of Client Services in 2011. Some of her duties include: client intake, management of client records, and creating and implementing a client’s plan of care for each home. In 2012 Sara became an administrator for the company, assisting with all aspects of client care. Also, in 2012, Sara took over the scheduling of staff and clients, which is no easy feat. In 2013 Sara was also began assisting with hiring of employees, supervising their orientation and training, and management of staff files.
When asked why she enjoys her job Sara responded “helping people to remain in their homes, as independent as possible, and be cared for in the way I would care for my loved one, gives me a feeling of great accomplishment and when I go home I feel as though I have helped to do good things. This does not happen at every job or career avenue out there. I love and appreciate this job and would never want to do anything else”.
Operations Manager LNA, BSEE, BM
Nancy was first hired as a caregiver in 2015, coming from a varied background in management and business, as she says, “in a previous life”. Relocating to the Lakes Region in 2013 from the Seacoast, she had to reinvent herself as her former high-tech jobs weren’t readily available. After spending time in hospitals while her mother was terminally ill with cancer, she found “The ones that really made a difference in my mom’s quality of life were the aides. This is something I can do.”
Shortly after she became a certified License Nursing Assistant, and worked in an assisted living facility, and later at the Merriman House, a long-term care facility in North Conway. Finding that nursing home duty, while rewarding, was also frustrating. She was always getting into trouble for spending too long with residents and not getting her work done. After interviewing and receiving offers from other homecare agencies, she met Heather, and just knew that this was someone that she had to work with.
In addition to calling on clients, working in the office, and living on a small farm, she can be found here and there about town playing for the Cate Park Band in the summer, in the orchestra pit for the Village Players’ musical productions, and conducts the annual Tuba Christmas in Wolfeboro.

Melissa grew up in Wolfeboro NH, going to Kingswood Regional High School and later to Champlain College where she earned a certificate in business. Melissa (aka as Missy) currently lives with her husband Brian Nadeau, dog Goldie, coon cat Lucy, a flock of chickens, occasional piglets, and a lot of love in the same home they proudly raised four sons. Missy loves outside living such as touring on the Trike and ice fishing with family, while spoiling her two handsome grandsons.
In 1999 Missy started her health career at the Clipper Home in Wolfeboro NH where she became a Licensed Nursing Assistant. She then went on to work at Mountain View Community as a Licensed Nursing Aid in 1999 and was promoted to Restorative Aide in 2004, assisting residents with Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech Therapy programs. While working at MVC she also earned her Reiki 1 certificate.
Missy joined our Curtis Quality Care Team 2016 and brought with her over 20 years of long-term care, end of life, restorative skills and knowledge experience. She has been a wonderful addition to our agency and has continued her educational and professional growth since her hire. Not only is she a marvelous caregiver, but she has also become a great asset as an administrator. Missy became the Employee Supervisor in the fall of 2018 and is now the Client Care Coordinator, assisting with and coordinating caregiver’s duties and responsibilities, adherence and formulation of clients Plan of Care, assisting the administrator with the quality of care given, and addressing client needs. Missy completed her End-of-Life Doula training in November 2020 and received her Certificate from Lifespan Doula located in Ann Arbor Michigan.
